An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic clinical/counselling psychologist or CBT Therapist, with a background working in child and adolescent services to join our Peterborough Mental Health Support Teams.

The successful candidate will work closely across the 5 Peterborough MHST\’s, to ensure that the MHST is a success. They will join a dynamic service in a creative environment where evidence-based interventions, new ideas, ways of working and supporting children and young people are actively encouraged.

This is a unique opportunity to engaging in important clinical work within schools and colleges at an early intervention level across Peterborough.

Role context and responsibilities

  • Support the emotional wellbeing of children and young people across Peterborough within an early intervention service.
  • Provide psychological assessments and interventions to children, young people and their families.
  • Provide consultation with education establishments and training internally to the Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) within the Emotional Health Wellbeing Service (EHWS) and externally to education staff and staff from the wider professional network.
  • Work in accordance with clinical governance processes and professional standards.

Qualifications

  • Clinical/counselling psychologist or CBT Therapist with a background in child and adolescent services.
  • Experience delivering evidence-based interventions in school or college settings is advantageous.
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple MHSTs and with education staff and external networks.
