If you believe passionately that anyone with drug and alcohol challenges can work and would like to be part of that journey, then this could be the role for you.

We are currently seeking a Peer Support Worker to join our well-established Individual Placement and Support Team embedded into CGL Drug and Alcohol treatment services across Peterborough and Cambridgeshire. This is an incredibly rewarding role – you’ll have the opportunity to transform the lives of service users, to give them hope, direction and support their recovery journey.

You will be able to share your own valuable experiences of how you overcame any obstacles to achieve your own career goals and how you continue to move forward in your journey of recovery offering support. You will be based within the Employment Support Service and working with direction from the IPS Employment specialists.

Through sharing your wisdom from your own experiences you will inspire hope and belief that recovery and gaining paid employment is possible in others. Within a relationship of mutuality, the PSW will facilitate and support information sharing to promote choice, self-determination and opportunities for the fulfilment of socially valued roles and connection to local communities.
