Overview
Highly Specialist Applied Psychologist β Development post at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust (CPFT). This is a permanent, full-time position with scope to complete some work from home.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and a psychology service within The Fens Services and Outreach Services, working autonomously within professional guidelines and the Trust\βs policies.
- Deliver evidence-based psychological interventions for individuals with chronic histories of trauma, drawing on attachment theory, schema-focused therapy, and a range of short-term interventions such as EMDR, CBT, CAT, etc., through a combination of individual and group formats.
- Collaborate with HMPPS and other NHS staff to manage risk, reduce distress, and improve wellbeing.
- Support service development and opportunities to pursue research interests through university links.
- Provide clinical leadership to ensure the systematic provision of high-quality Mental Health interventions across The Fens and Outreach Services.
Qualifications / Experience
- Qualified psychologist; experience at band 7 level or eligible to progress to band 8a (open to applicants at 8a level).
- Solid working knowledge of personality disorders, challenging behaviour, and trauma, including implications of adverse childhood trauma.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with HMPPS and other NHS colleagues.
- Experience of working in challenging environments with risk management to support wellbeing.
