Want to help redesign how publicly funded transport works across health, education and local government and make it simpler and more joined-up for passengers? We are looking for a Public Transport Planner (Integrated Public Transport) to lead the development and embedding of a joined-up transport approach across the region. This role is all about integration: connecting services that are often planned separately, reducing duplication, and improving outcomes for the people who rely on them most.
In this role, you will:
- Lead programmes to design, test and embed integrated transport models across the region
- Map and analyse commissioned transport services (including health, social care and education) to identify opportunities for alignment and optimisation
- Work closely with local authorities, NHS partners, operators and service providers to build consensus and deliver change
- Manage budgets and funding pots, ensuring programmes are delivered on time, to quality and within agreed constraints
You will bring experience of improving customer outcomes in a public transport or regulated environment, with strong analytical skills and confidence working across complex stakeholder landscapes. You will be comfortable navigating political, contractual and partnership settings, and motivated by making systems work better for passengers.
This is a unique opportunity to shape how transport services work together across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, delivering more efficient, joined-up solutions that genuinely improve people's day-to-day lives.
As part of your application, you will be asked to submit a supporting statement. This is your opportunity to shine and tell us how your knowledge, skills and experience make you a great fit for this role, with reference to the Job Description and Person Specification. We are keen to understand your experience, approach and what you would bring to the team.
Please ensure you have the right to work in the UK before applying as we are unable to provide sponsorship.
We are a Disability Confident Employer and proud supporters of the Care Leavers Covenant and Armed Forces Covenant.
