Due to continued growth, CambridgeHOK Refrigeration is looking for an experienced Industrial Refrigeration Engineer to join our expanding team. This is a field-based role covering East Anglia and Lincolnshire, with occasional travel to support projects in other regions. You will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, commissioning, and fault-finding of industrial refrigeration systems across a variety of sectors, including food processing and agriculture. Working both independently and alongside our experienced engineering teams, you will play a key role in ensuring our customers receive a high-quality, professional service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on industrial refrigeration systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults.
  • Commission new refrigeration installations.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and control diagrams.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with industry regulations.
  • Maintain excellent customer relationships while representing CambridgeHOK Refrigeration on-site.
  • Complete service documentation accurately and professionally.

Skills and Experience

  • Strong experience working with industrial refrigeration systems.
  • Sound knowledge of compressors, evaporators, condensers and control systems.
  • Experience working with ammonia, CO₂ and HFC refrigerants.
  • Good electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
  • The ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues.
  • Experience commissioning industrial refrigeration equipment.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Essential Qualifications

  • Completed apprenticeship or recognised training course in Refrigeration.
  • C&G 2079 Refrigerant Handling qualification (or equivalent).
  • Relevant industrial refrigeration certifications, e.g. ACRIB Ammonia Refrigeration Certification.
  • Full UK driving licence.
