Your day-to-day duties will include:
- Supervising the Domestic Assistants to ensure a timely and efficient Housekeeping Service
- Liaising with student residents to encourage responsible use and care of residential facilities
- Managing attendance, performance and conduct
- Assisting the Head Housekeeper and Head of Housekeeping with their responsibilities
- Liaising with other departments, including Maintenance and Accommodation, as required
This is a hands-on position, so you must be comfortable getting involved in cleaning tasks when required. This is not an office-based role, and only 10% of the weekly working time will be spent on administrative duties.
To be considered for this role you will need:
- Substantial cleaning experience
- Strong initiative, a proactive approach, and the ability to lead by example
- Excellent communication skills
- Understanding of relevant Health & Safety provisions
- Proficiency in email and database use
- A good command of the English language
The ideal candidate will be a team player, with a flexible approach to tasks and able to work without direct supervision.
Hours: 20 or 25 hours per week, Monday-Friday (some weekend work may be required). Daily unpaid 30-minute lunch break. Potential flexibility on start/finish times.
Annual salary: £15,482.16 – £19,352.71 for 20-25 hours per week. In addition, an attractive benefits package is offered.
