Are you looking for a career in the catering industry? We are currently looking for a Kitchen Porter for our busy site in Cambridge. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and customer-focused catering team, working to deliver excellent service to all Cambridge University Press & Assessment staff, guests and visitors.
About the role:
- Assist with the day-to-day running of the stores and logistics, ensuring that data related to the stores are accurate.
- Ensure the highest standards are maintained to continue to keep our customer satisfaction.
- Maintain extremely high Health & Safety standards.
- Responsible for maintaining the daily cleaning of the kitchen and stores.
- Assist Senior Kitchen Porter with receiving & storing deliveries.
- Maintain a high standard of food hygiene and cleanliness.
- Work with catering staff to set up servery and display counters.
- Ensure all areas and catering equipment are clean at all times.
- Training on our cleaning procedures will be given, to maintain our high standards.
About You:
The ideal candidate will have experience in working in a busy catering or hospitality environment, ideally with some kitchen porter experience, however this is not essential. We are looking for an enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude whilst working in a pressured environment.
