We are looking to recruit a Compliance Manager to join our motivated and dedicated Compliance Centre Monitoring team. This is an exciting time to join us as we continue our mission to safeguard the security and integrity of Cambridge International exams and assessments.

Reporting to a Senior Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of Compliance Officers; reviewing information and intelligence held about our registered centres (schools) and using this to conduct various proactive and reactive quality assurance activities. As a team, you will be gathering, reviewing and recording information and evidence to identify patterns of behaviour and risks which could impact the integrity of our exams. You will use the data to find solutions which help support centres to improve and maintain the security and integrity of Cambridge International exams and assessments.

To do this, you will be:

  • Leading the team through their established processes, whilst creatively thinking of new ways to further support our centres.
  • Developing data to identify trends; producing recommendations for centre improvement or potential centre closures.
  • Managing the collection of information and evidence from a variety of internal and external stakeholders; identifying which information is most important to obtain, and making sure it is collated quickly and efficiently.
  • Evaluating facts and evidence; making informed decisions on the additional support needed at our centres, identifying additional risks and discussing with the relevant stakeholders.
  • Decision making; from issuing warnings and requesting detailed action plans to recommending more serious corrective action, you will be responsible for making and communicating fair decisions.
  • Providing guidance and support to your team, who will then support our centres to administer exams correctly in line with our regulations.
  • Continuously improving processes, procedures and external guidelines; ensuring we are always following best practice.
  • Sitting on Stage One appeal panels in relation to any Compliance team process.

This position has been classified as a hybrid role, requiring the selected candidate to typically spend 40-60% of their time collaborating and connecting face-to-face at their dedicated location. Aside from our hybrid principles, other flexible working requests will be considered from the first day of employment, including other work arrangements should you require adjustments due to a disability or long-term health condition.

The Compliance team's best asset is its people. To be successful in the role, you will be a confident and passionate team leader, who is able to work both independently and with your colleagues, whilst communicating clearly to a range of stakeholders. You will be a collaborative and conscientious team player, with an eye for detail and excellent analytical and decision-making abilities.

You will also:

  • Be comfortable and experienced in assessing risk.
  • Be comfortable making decisions which do not always fit β€˜inside the box', using your judgement to arrive at resolutions which are both fair and defensible.
  • Be enthusiastic, self-motivated and a great team player.
  • Have excellent communication skills providing information to a variety of stakeholders around the world with diplomacy, precision and sensitivity.
  • Deliver superb customer service in all aspects of your work.
  • Be a quick learner who is not afraid to ask questions.
  • Be flexible and able to reprioritise according to changing situations.
  • Be able to manage a varying workload and to successfully meet multiple tight deadlines.
  • Be a positive person that lifts those around you.

The Compliance team is passionate about safeguarding the integrity of our assessments and exams. We strive to provide excellent support to our exam officers, teachers and candidates to enable them to confidently access our exams and apply the regulations outlined in the Cambridge Handbook. If you can relate to this mission, we want to hear from you!

Whether you want a career that's linear, or want to follow your own path, we'll support you and help give you the resources and training you'll need to be bold and take ownership of what you do.
