Are you passionate about driving successful delivery in a complex, fast-paced environment? We are looking for a Senior Delivery Manager to lead cross-functional teams and deliver high-quality, secure and resilient digital solutions that support Cambridge University Press & Assessment's global mission. This is an exciting opportunity to influence strategy, embed agile practices and make a real impact on education worldwide.

About The Role

As a Senior Delivery Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of delivery from discovery through to live service. You'll work closely with Product Owners, engineering teams, and stakeholders to align priorities, manage risks, and ensure that solutions meet performance, security, and compliance standards. This role is essential to maintaining delivery predictability, operational readiness and value realisation across our Exam Technology Organisation.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Leading agile delivery across multiple teams, ensuring alignment with product goals.
  • Managing dependencies, risks and release governance to protect stability and quality.
  • Embedding non-functional requirements (security, resilience, performance) into delivery.
  • Driving continuous improvement and fostering a positive, collaborative team culture.
  • Partnering with internal teams and external vendors to ensure successful outcomes.

About You

You will bring proven experience in agile delivery leadership, with the ability to motivate and coordinate cross-functional teams across onshore and offshore models. You have strong technical awareness—enough to challenge and support design decisions and an understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), CI/CD pipelines and modern delivery practices. You will also demonstrate:

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A proactive approach to risk and issue management.
  • A collaborative outcome-focused mindset with resilience and adaptability.

Rewards And Benefits

We will support you to be at your best in work and to live well outside of it. In addition to competitive salaries, we offer a world-class, flexible rewards package, featuring family-friendly and planet-friendly benefits including:

  • 28 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Private medical and Permanent Health Insurance
  • Discretionary annual bonus
  • Group personal pension scheme
  • Life assurance up to 4 x annual salary
  • Green travel schemes

We are a hybrid working organisation, and we offer a range of flexible working options from day one. We expect most hybrid-working colleagues to spend 40-60% of their time at their dedicated office or location. We will also consider other work arrangements if you wish to work more flexibly or require adjustments due to a disability.
