Job overview: We are seeking to recruit a full-time Programme Manager to work within the Cambridge Prostate Cancer Research and Clinical Trials Group to assist in their scientific efforts to improve the care and outcome of patients with Prostate cancer.
Main duties of the job:
- The role will be to acquire and provide the data, specimen and database handling administration and management requirements of the programme as it pertains to the prostate research programme for specific projects.
- You will be a part of the integrated core research team based in the Cambridge Prostate Cancer Research and Clinical Trials group and join and support the current team and their work in bio-resource management, data acquisition and entry, specimen handling and preparation and all associated database aspects.
- The role will also include aiding towards any other aspects of clinical research and administration in the team that may be required.
- A key aspect will be leading and being the key liaison on prostate cancer research projects that we are originating or collaborating on.
- A high level of personal initiative, problem solving and independent working will be expected.
- You will be required to have an overview of the bioresource specimens and data collected under the DIAMOND and other clinical research studies as it pertains to our research programme.
- You will also be required to be in charge of maintenance and technical running of the allied resources, including freezers and warranties, freezer space and location recording as well as assisting in the correct achieving storage and retrieval of such samples.
