Overview

We are looking to appoint a Staff Nurse to join our Gynaecology team on Daphne Ward, The Rosie Hospital. We have substantive Band 5 RGN posts working a mixture of long days and nights, Monday-Sunday. Daphne Ward is a 14 in-patient bedded ward with 5 day patient beds. Patients are admitted for elective Benign/Reproductive Gynaecology surgery, Gynaecology Oncology, Urogynaecological surgery, and emergency Gynaecological surgery. The ward provides a bay of 4 beds and a separate side room for women having medical management of miscarriage or medical management for termination of pregnancy up to 18 weeks.

Responsibilities

To provide a high standard of safe individualised, holistic and evidence-based patient focused care in consultation with the patient, relatives and the multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with full NMC registration.
  • Full-time permanent role; working a mixture of long days and nights, Monday-Sunday.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine enthusiasm in caring for women undergoing all aspects of gynaecological care.
  • Passion, dynamism and forward thinking; desire to build knowledge and skills within a supportive environment.
