A vacancy at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. We are advertising a new exciting position to recruit an enthusiastic, qualified Pharmacy Technician to provide excellent communication and documentation between Central Pharmacy Stores and the Main Inpatient Dispensary at Addenbrooke’s Hospital. We are looking for a team member who can provide excellent Education and Training for substantive staff within Central Pharmacy and staff rotating through Central Pharmacy.
Responsibilities
- Deliver training and maintain training documentation and auditable records for all aspects of Central Pharmacy.
- Coordinate daily operational tasks and carry out ward tops ups, picking and distribution of medicines.
- Demonstrate GDP, lead by example within Pharmacy, and facilitate recycling and waste management.
- Act as the key link between Central Pharmacy and Inpatient Pharmacy to facilitate stock requests and provide strong customer service to ensure prompt and safe distribution of medicines.
- Review and manage workflow of Distribution and Stores to ensure efficient and safe supply of medicines as per standard operating procedures.
- Be responsible for Education and Training and ensure all training records are up to date.
