Role Overview
Cambridge Spark is looking for a Technical Trainer to deliver our gold-standard AI and digital transformation programmes, with a primary focus on Level 3 AI Champion, Level 4 AI Transformation Specialist, and Level 4 Digital Product Manager. You’ll lead practical, hands-on workshops and learner clinics that help people adopt AI safely, deliver AI-enabled business change, and build customer-driven digital and AI products. Working across funded apprenticeships and corporate training, you’ll ensure that programmes meet high standards for learner engagement, applied workplace impact, and real-world relevance. These pathways are designed for professionals who are not necessarily developers, so your training will emphasise applied GenAI use, business analysis for AI, product thinking, and organisational adoption rather than deep model-building.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging workshops and tutorials across:
- AI foundations and practical workplace use
- AI-driven business analysis, requirements, process optimisation, and change
- Customer-driven product management, roadmapping, delivery, and lifecycle management, including AI/data products
Candidate Specification:
Essential
- Strong applied knowledge of AI concepts and GenAI tools in workplace contexts, including benefits, limitations, ethical use, and human-in-the-loop thinking.
- Practical experience teaching or enabling others in areas such as:
- Prompt engineering and AI productivity workflows.
- AI adoption and rollout, including SOPs, training approaches, and end-user support.
- Business analysis for AI projects: discovery, requirements elicitation, prioritisation, and future-state modelling.
- Process mapping and optimisation in digital/AI implementation contexts.
- Digital product management, covering customer insight, roadmaps, agile/linear lifecycles, and product performance.
Desirable
- Teaching/training qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent), or substantial facilitation experience.
- Experience delivering or supporting apprenticeships, including KSB-aligned coaching and assessment preparation.
- Familiarity with responsible AI frameworks (e.g., fairness, explainability, governance, risk mitigation).
- Experience with AI or data product delivery (e.g., working with ML/DS teams, productising AI, or managing AI portfolios).
- Awareness of organisational considerations in AI change, such as data protection, security, sustainability, and change impact.
Interview process:
- One way video interview (alternative options are available for candidates who require reasonable adjustments to the process - for example live video screening via Google Meets)
- Competency based interview + microteach - 1 hour
- Ways of Working/Meet the Team - 45 minutes
Company Benefits:
- Remote first company providing flexibility to work from home
- Pension with 4% matched contributions
- Opportunity to opt into our salary sacrifice scheme
- 25 days holiday + Flexi bank holidays + 1 day off on your birthday
- A day for volunteering
- Enhanced Maternity and Paternity Leave
- Health & Wellbeing allowance of up to £30 per month
- Annual Summer and Xmas events
- Company socials including everything from Cambridge College formals, pub nights to team building events
- CPD Allowance
- Private medical insurance and cash plan
- Holiday buy back scheme (up to 10 days p/a)
- EAP with 24 hour confidential support line
