Wok & Flame is a fast-growing halal Chinese restaurant committed to high-quality food, efficient service, and innovative kitchen operations. We are seeking a reliable and organized Central Kitchen Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our central kitchen, ensuring smooth food preparation, proper storage, inventory management, and hygiene compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with culinary knowledge looking to grow into a leadership role in a supportive and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Oversee daily food prep based on standardized recipes and production plans
Maintain inventory using our restaurant inventory management system
Place and track food and packaging orders
Ensure proper food storage and labeling according to health and safety standards
Supervise and support prep team staff in batch cooking and daily tasks
Train new employees on preparation procedures, hygiene standards, and equipment use
Monitor cleanliness and enforce hygiene protocols in the central kitchen
Assist occasionally with restaurant operations during peak hours or staffing shortages
Report to the restaurant owner and collaborate on weekly prep plans and improvements
Qualifications:

2+ years of experience in a professional kitchen (e.g. prep cook, line cook, or kitchen supervisor)
Basic understanding of food safety, inventory, and kitchen operations
Comfortable using inventory or POS systems (we use Toast/Revel)– training will be provided
Strong organizational and communication skills
Able to manage time, work independently, and lead a small team
Culinary school background or formal training is a plus but not required
