Do you want to join us in our mission to help transform students' lives? We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our growing and dynamic ESOL & International department, supporting speakers of other languages to achieve their goals and aspirations. We are looking for ESOL/EFL lecturers to teach on a variable-hours basis, on courses delivered face-to-face at our Cambridge and/or Huntingdon campus. Courses may be delivered during the day or in the evening.

You will join us on a variable hours basis (up to 18 hours) and in return you will receive a competitive salary of £23.04 per hour, plus staff benefits. What we're looking for:

  • You will have a CELTA (or equivalent) and experience of teaching English in an ESOL/EFL context (with students living and working in the UK).
  • Experience of both face-to-face and online delivery will be advantageous.
  • You should also be confident in supporting students with their personal development, including helping them to develop employability skills, an understanding of health and safety, accessing welfare support services within the college and assisting students with their study skills.
  • We are looking for people who can work in a team and are able and willing to develop courses to meet the needs of the students that they are teaching.
  • The College is committed to the full development of its students and the successful candidate will be able to develop both academic and personal skills in their students as well as give them a better understanding of life in the UK.
  • A measure of digital skills will be expected of the successful candidate, or a willingness to learn fast, as we use Microsoft Teams as part of our teaching.
