Cambridge Regional College have an exciting opportunity for a Student Advice and Safeguarding Officer to join the Student Services team at our Cambridge and Huntingdon Campuses. You will join us on a part time (22.5 hour), term time only basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of £16,438 per annum – £17,521 per annum (equivalent to a full time, full year salary of £31,110 – £33,160 per annum), plus staff benefits.

About the role
The successful candidate will support the college by being an integral part of safeguarding and supporting students to thrive in college.
The role will include being part of a team managing a caseload of safeguarding and student advice caseloads, working in a multi‑agency approach to provide outstanding support and risk management. You will also be part of a team engaging with the college population via events and pop‑ups, in addition to assessing bursary applications ensuring that students who are financially disadvantaged can reach their potential.
To apply for the position, you must have previous experience of working with young people and/or vulnerable adults, and you will have GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade A‑C or equivalent). Attention to detail, the ability to follow procedure and problem‑solve with minimal supervision alongside excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
The successful candidate will report to the Student Advice and Safeguarding Team Leader.

This is a hybrid role where home working is accommodated, but a flexible approach would be expected to suit the business needs where required.
