The role is based at our Cambridge Campus in the vibrant department of Creative Industries and will be responsible for overseeing the Inclusion Provision and managing a team of Learning Support Mentors. We pride ourselves on the quality of learner-centred meaningful support which empowers our students to make great progress, help develop their independence, and meet their full potential.

This role will include some evening and weekend work in line with the needs of the department.

What we are looking for in our role:

  • You will work with teams to embed equality and diversity, inclusion practices, and ensure that students with High Needs are provided with a clear and ambitious differentiated curriculum.
  • The role ensures that staffing to support students achieve on their programme and daily timetables of learning support are maximised to support high and excellent levels of achievement and attainment for students.
  • You will allocate staffing within the department to work closely with students requiring additional learning support through effective timetabling of learning support.
  • Developing and embedding a collaborative approach to planning, preparation, and adaptation of resources to ensure that all students reach their full potential in every learning environment.
  • You will have, or develop, a comprehensive knowledge of the different strategies required to support students with High Needs, based on assessments and information provided in documents such as Education, Health and Care Plans, and use this to inform planning and lead on this within the curriculum team.
  • You will be required to assist with supervision of learning support staff by holding regular 1:1 meetings to monitor performance, provide support, and agree on targets, and lead on the appraisal cycle.

This role plays a central part in removing barriers to learning, ensuring that all students can access an ambitious, inclusive curriculum and thrive within Creative Industries. You will join us on a full-time (37 hours), full year basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of £44,408 per annum, plus staff benefits.
