Ever considered a Teaching Assistant career and interested in helping young people? Cambridge Regional College have an exciting opportunity for a Learning Support Mentor - Health & Personal Care to join our Supported Learning team at our Cambridge Campus. You will join us on a full time (37 hours), term time basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of £21,355 per annum, equivalent to a full year salary of £24,577 per annum, plus staff benefits. Please note that this role is maternity cover so is fixed term until May 2027 (subject to change).

As part of the role, you will:
- Support students with a range of learning difficulties and other disabilities.
- Enable reasonable adjustments to help students to engage.
- Mentor students and encourage them to remain on task.
- Model skills so that the student can understand the tasks.
- Assist with Personal Care and health needs.
- Promote our college values.
What we are looking for in our ideal candidate:
- GCSE English grade C / 4 or equivalent - or willing to work towards gaining this qualification
- Happy to undergo relevant training
- Enjoy working across college faculties i.e. supporting students on a variety of courses
- Have recent and demonstrable experience of working with people with special education needs (desirable, but not essential)
- A positive 'can do' attitude, sensitive to others needs, patient and reliable
- A team player yet also able to work independently
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
