Cambridge Regional College have an exciting opportunity for a Learning Support Mentor – Health & Personal Care to join our Supported Learning team at our Cambridge Campus. Term time full time (37 hours) maternity cover fixed term until July 2027. Salary £21,355 – £21,890 per annum, equivalent to £24,577 – £25,192 per annum plus staff benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Support students with a range of learning difficulties and other disabilities.
  • Enable reasonable adjustments to help students engage.
  • Mentor students and encourage them to remain on task.
  • Model skills so that the student can understand the tasks.
  • Assist with Personal Care and health needs.
  • Promote our college values.

Qualifications

  • GCSE English grade C / 4 or equivalent – or willing to work towards gaining this qualification.
  • Happy to undergo relevant training.
  • Enjoy working across college faculties i.e. supporting students on a variety of courses.
  • Have recent and demonstrable experience of working with people with special education needs (desirable, but not essential).
  • A positive can do attitude, sensitive to others needs, patient and reliable.
  • A team player yet also able to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
