Bids and Sales Coordinator β St Ives, Cambridgeshire - Hybrid

We focus on compliant, safe, and efficient workplaces and use advanced technology and data to provide maintenance services trusted by major managing agents and independent clients alike. As a multi-award-winning business, our local teams provide personalised FM services to meet client needs.
Location: Hybrid - St Ives, Cambridgeshire; home working and site visits as required.
Hours of Work: Monday - Friday 8.30am-5pm
Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Bid Manager, the Bids and Sales Coordinator (BSC) supports driving new business sales to grow the pipeline in line with targets.
- Work closely with the Bid Manager, Estimating Manager and Business Development Manager to ensure bids are delivered on time and to the required standard.
- Manage the tender process from initial opportunity receipt through to final submission, including presentations and negotiations with clients.
- Ensure tenders comply with client specifications and lead cross-department initiatives as the interface between sales, mobilisation, operations and the business.
- Handle internal administration and management of tenders; support BDM with new business pipelining.
- Collaborate on building win themes and story boards for written submissions; mentor and support the sales team; manage the customer relationship map and internal pipeline.
- Manage tender portals, review tender documentation, and coordinate submission timing to meet deadlines.
- Provide feedback on successful or unsuccessful bids (commercial, technical, or financial insights).
- Document work processes with clear version history and contribute to metrics and reporting on pricing trends.
- Maintain client/stakeholder relationships and manage the tender inbox and weekly/monthly sales reports.
- Undertake other duties as required by the company.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Ability to influence and manage a team to high standards.
- Understanding of industry best practices with the ability to write clear bid responses.
- Ability to work to strict submission deadlines.
- Excellent IT skills with Microsoft Office and Adobe; experience with InDesign, Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, results-driven approach.
- Team player with responsibility for own work and effective decision-making under pressure.

- Further relevant experience or qualifications in bid management or sales coordination.
