Position: Mobile Building Services Engineer – Bristol region
Cambridge Maintenance, established in 1985, is an independent nationwide maintenance service provider operating from Newcastle to Plymouth, South Coast, and Kent. We serve a diverse range of clients including offices, commercial properties, retail sites, educational institutions, hospitals, hotels, laboratories, luxury residential units, and historic listed buildings. Job Description:
We are seeking a Mobile Multi-skilled Building Services Engineer, qualified either electrically or mechanically (HVAC) to a recognized standard (e.g., City & Guilds). Your responsibilities will include scheduled planned maintenance, reactive repairs, identifying repair needs, and preparing quotations for remedial work.
A company van, mobile phone, tablet, and uniform will be provided.
Location: Bristol and surrounding regions. Sites will be allocated based on your location, but willingness to travel within the region is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform planned and reactive maintenance at assigned sites, ensuring attendance on scheduled dates.
- Update legal compliance documentation via a provided tablet to a high standard.
- Provide job and quote updates within the internal CAFM system for live client updates.
- Manage your time and workload effectively and communicate regularly with your lead engineer.
- Participate in a callout rota post-probation (currently 1/8 weeks).
- Work reasonable overtime to meet contract requirements, such as servicing AC/Fan Coil/Distribution boards outside regular hours due to occupancy constraints.
Necessary Skills:
- Experience working with HVAC plant and equipment.
- Recognized qualification in at least one maintenance or engineering discipline.
- Ability to carry out repairs and replacements of plant, fixtures, and fittings.
- Experience in servicing and repairing onsite plant and equipment.
- Good organizational skills for housekeeping tasks.
- Effective communication skills and basic IT literacy.
- Willingness to work overtime regularly to meet contractual obligations.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
