Role Overview

To work within the Cambridge Maintenance team based at One St Peters Square in Manchester working on fault diagnosis and rectification on various electrical systems within commercial installations. To undertake PPM and Reactive works daily.

Key Responsibilities

  • To ensure that the maintenance, servicing and repair works are carried out in accordance with Cambridge Maintenance and current relevant legislation.
  • To communicate regularly and effectively with the client, suppliers and other Cambridge Maintenance personnel to maintain and develop excellent professional working relationships and ensure smooth operation of the business.
  • To organise works allocated time efficiently and work supportively within a team.
  • To complete site logs and site diaries daily.
  • To submit clear, concise and accurate task sheets and reports (with photographs) daily in support of works carried out, with clear recommendations for any further work required.
  • To be able to undertake basic Plumbing/Mechanical works.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Knowledge
    • Knowledge of Electrical Installation works within commercial properties.
    • Ability to fault find Electrical equipment faults within commercial properties.
    • Basic Fault diagnosis and rectification on Commercial Fire Alarm system.
    • Experienced in Emergency light annual testing.
    • Experience with DALI lighting control systems.
    • Experience with BMS control wiring and fault finding.
  • Qualifications
    • City & Guilds 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
    • Full Electrical Apprenticeship (AM2 & NVQ).
    • IPAF mobile access license. (Desirable)

    • Good Communication skills both written and verbal.
    • Good IT Skills.
    • Mechanical Knowledge.
    • FM Knowledge.
    • Plumbing Knowledge.
    • PDA Experience.
    • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
    • Self-motivated.
    • The ability to work on your own or as part of a team and make calculated assessments of breakdowns.
