As a key member of our Electrical maintenance team, you'll play a vital role in delivering both planned and reactive maintenance across a range of electrical systems within our client portfolio. You'll be responsible for ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently while providing an exceptional service that consistently exceeds customer expectations.

Everything you need to do the job will be provided, including a company van, mobile phone, tablet and uniform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional service to our clients, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards and in line with contractual requirements.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond promptly to reactive maintenance and equipment breakdowns.
  • Diagnose and rectify faults efficiently, arranging equipment replacements where required to minimise downtime.
  • Complete quality inspections and ensure all work meets recognised industry standards and best practices.
  • Effectively manage and maintain records through our Elogbooks facilities management system.
  • Work closely with the Lead Engineer and Support Desk Supervisor to coordinate maintenance schedules, priorities, and reporting requirements.
  • Participate in the out-of-hours emergency call-out rota as required.
  • Undertake a variety of hands-on and physically demanding tasks across client sites.
  • Ensure full compliance with company policies, health & safety legislation, and relevant industry regulations.
  • Take ownership of your professional development by participating in training and maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge and qualifications.
  • Build positive working relationships with clients and colleagues, representing the business professionally at all times.
  • Support the wider team by undertaking additional duties appropriate to the role when required.

Location: Cardiff.

Hours of Work: 42.5 hours per week between Monday - Friday. Overtime starting after 47.5 hours.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Good understanding of M&E building services.
  • Relevant Electrical Installation qualification (e.g. City & Guilds Level 3 or equivalent).
  • Inspection & Testing qualification (e.g. City & Guilds 2391-52).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to interpret and analyse electrical systems.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Methodical approach to record keeping and reporting.
  • Practical, hands-on attitude with excellent problem-solving skills.

  • 18th Edition.
