Cambridge Maintenance Services is seeking an experienced and motivated Building Services Engineer to join our growing team covering the East Region. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified engineer with strong commercial gas and boiler experience who enjoys working across a varied portfolio of commercial properties. The successful candidate will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, fault finding, and servicing of commercial heating and building services systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service, maintain, and repair commercial gas boilers and associated plant.
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance works.
  • Diagnose faults and undertake repairs on commercial heating systems.
  • Complete compliance checks and certification as required.
  • Accurately complete service reports and documentation.
  • Liaise professionally with clients and site representatives.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with current health and safety regulations.

Location: East Region (Candidates based in Suffolk, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Buckinghamshire, Huntingdonshire, or Essex)

Hours of Work: Monday-Friday - 42 hours per week with overtime available

Salary: Up to £45,000

Essential Skills & Qualifications
  • Valid Commercial Gas Qualifications (CODNCO1, CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1A or equivalent).
  • Proven experience servicing and maintaining commercial boilers and heating systems.
  • Strong fault‑finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.

  • Additional building services or HVAC experience.
  • Electrical fault‑finding knowledge.
  • Experience working within commercial environments such as offices, schools, healthcare, and retail premises.
