Job Description
To assist in providing general building maintenance service and repair works on behalf of Cambridge Maintenance to its client base.
Key Responsibilities
- Upkeep and tidying of plant rooms and equipment serving modern, high standard office buildings
- Cleaning and painting of equipment, plant and plant room floors
- Chemical cleaning of equipment using high-pressure jet washer
- Delivery of spares to site
- Basic Building Maintenance tasks including meter readings and tap temperature checks
- Assisting Building Services Technicians
- To regularly and effectively communicate with clients, suppliers and other personnel in order to maintain and develop excellent professional working relationships and ensure smooth operation of the business
- The job holder will be expected to organise their work and time efficiently, and to be work supportively within a team
- Understand the workings of a PPM planner and respond appropriately to the clientβs requirements.
Responsibilities
- Punctual site attendance, wearing relevant PPE and clothing issued
- Submitting clear, concise and accurate reports of works carried out, with clear recommendations for any further work required
- Submitting weekly accurate timesheets
- Communicating with Contracts Managers on Job progression
Location Birmingham
Hours of Work Monday-Friday - 42.5 hours per week with overtime starting at 47.5 hours per week
Essential Skills & Qualifications
- Driving Licence
- Good Communication skills both written and verbal
- Proven experience, making good plasterboard issues, small plumbing tasks, weekly bell testing, weekly unused outlets
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
- Knowledge of H.V.A.C. Industry
- Knowledge of air conditioning systems
- Basic PC Skills β Word, Excel, Outlook
- Trained in Health and Safety
- The understanding of L8 water compliance, safe isolations
