Cambridge International School, Bratislava, is seeking a Secondary Cover Teacher responsible for providing high-quality classroom and duty cover across Key Stages 3–5, ensuring continuity of learning when teaching staff are absent. The role involves delivering pre-prepared lessons, maintaining a positive learning environment, and supporting student engagement and behaviour. On occasion, the role may also include providing cover within Primary classes where needed.
The Secondary Cover Teacher plays a key role in maintaining the smooth day-to-day operation of the school and ensuring minimal disruption to student learning. Some of the responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials effectively.
- Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment.
- Ensure student behaviour meets school expectations.
- Provide duty cover (e.g. break, lunch, transitions) as required.
- Support continuity of learning across a range of subjects.
- Provide occasional cover in Primary classes where required.
- Follow safeguarding and school policies at all times.
- Communicate relevant feedback to teaching staff following lessons.
- Participate in briefings, meetings, and school activities as required.

Requirements for the employee:
- Candidates with education suitable for the position.
- University education (Bachelor's degree).
- University education (Master's degree).
- Postgraduate (Doctorate).
- A recognised teaching qualification and a degree in a relevant subject area are desirable.
- English - Advanced (C1).
- Other knowledge: Microsoft Office 365 - Advanced.
- Experience working with secondary-aged students (KS3–KS5).
- Experience working across multiple subjects.
- Experience in a classroom or school environment.
- Experience managing student behaviour effectively.
