The Cambridge International School is seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and motivated Primary Assistant Teacher to support learning and pastoral provision in Year 2 or Year 3. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support high-quality teaching and learning, provide targeted support to individual students and small groups, and help create a safe, positive, and engaging classroom environment. This role is ideal for a committed professional passionate about supporting young learners and contributing positively to the Primary School's life.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the partner class teacher to support planning, teaching, and learning activities.
- Provide individual and small-group support to students in literacy, numeracy, and other curriculum areas.
- Support classroom management and help maintain a calm, organised learning environment.
- Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources.
- Support students with additional learning, behavioural, or emotional needs under teacher guidance.
- Help ensure the classroom is safe, welcoming, and inclusive.
- Maintain records and documentation as required.
- Provide classroom cover when appropriate and authorised.
- Complete regular playground and canteen duties to ensure student safety and well-being.
- Communicate effectively with teachers and relevant staff regarding student progress or concerns.
- Follow school policies and procedures in all aspects of school life.
- Support school events, trips, and activities when required.
- Act as a positive role model and uphold the school’s reputation and values.
