The Fixed Operations Director is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing the fixed operations of multiple locations within a specific geographic region, either on site or remote.

You will provide regional leadership and oversight for Service, Parts, and Detail operations, working closely with on-site Fixed Operations and Service Managers to ensure consistent performance and operational excellence. As the primary point of contact for your assigned region, you will support managers with day-to-day challenges, monitor key performance indicators, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability, and customer experience. You will lead by example, delivering clear direction, coaching, and support while fostering accountability and continuous improvement across all departments.

Departments

  • Understand and comply with Federal, Provincial, local and OEM regulations that affect repair operations.
  • Understand and ensure compliance with manufacturer warranty and policy procedures.
  • Monitor and Drive CSI at all stores. Discuss and review feedback with the managers.

Analysis and forecasting

  • Assist the Fixed Operations teams at each location to forecast goals and objectives.
  • Prepare and administer an annual operating budgets.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with General, Parts, and Service Managers to ensure smooth and cohesive operation at each dealership.
  • Monitor and analyze the Platform performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing strategies to maximize efficiency and profitability.
  • Make data-informed decisions based on a sound understanding of organizational priorities, customer feedback, analytics, benchmarks, industry reporting and emerging trends.

Leadership, Mentorship & Training

  • Lead, partner and mentor the Parts and Service Managers at each dealership in the region assigned.
  • Engaging and motivating the Parts and Service Managers and their teams to achieve key goals, performance expectations and AutoCanada’s best practice processes.
  • Foster professional team member development and coordinate with department managers to determine need for advanced training.
  • Collaborate with leadership teams in the interview and selection process, as required, to identify and screen potential team members.

Must-haves

  • 5+ years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 7+ years of leadership experience in a Fixed Operations and or Service Manager capacity.
  • Stellantis, Volkswagen and Hyundai experience is preferred, but not necessary.
  • Experience with overseeing multiple Fixed Operations rooftops is a considerable asset.
  • Solid working knowledge of CDK Drive, with the ability to navigate and support daily operations.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, train and guide a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service.
  • A keen ability to turn data into progressive improvement through consultation.
  • In-depth knowledge of automotive service and parts operations, including diagnostic procedures, technical expertise, and parts management.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to travel as required, with approximately 50% travel expected within the Western region.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
