Med/Surg 6 is a 32 bed adult medical surgical telemetry unit with a focus on post-operative surgical care. Our goal is to promote and restore patients' health by collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members. We provide care for a diverse patient population including GI, cardiovascular, respiratory illnesses, and post-surgical procedures including General Surgery and Orthopedics. We provide care with an emphasis on assessment, education, prevention, maintenance, and restoration of health in a supportive and culturally sensitive manner. This is a fast-paced, high-pressure, constantly changing environment.
Job Purpose
The Patient Access Representative II (PAR II) position consists of both administrative/clerical functions in addition to the clinical responsibilities of the medical assistant. PAR IIs are essential members of the team. They provide the department the flexibility of meeting both clinical and administrative needs, while contributing to the smooth operation by facilitating patient flow.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider
- One year of previous experience as a nursing assistant OR Currently enrolled in a nursing program and have completed two cycles of clinical rotation OR Completion of an approved certified nursing assistant training program OR equivalent experience as determined by the CNO or designee
