Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) is a Harvard Medical School and Tufts University School of Medicine teaching affiliate and award-winning academic public healthcare system. CHA is recruiting a Medical Director for our CHA Malden Family Health Center East. CHA’s Malden Family Health Center East provides care to the local community including primary care for all ages, gynecologic care, mental health services, onsite pharmacy, lab services and more.
Responsibilities
- Practice clinically and have dedicated time devoted to leadership and management of the provider team.
- Engage and participate in ambulatory strategy, primary care and specialty care integration, and site initiatives to assess and improve financial and operational performance.
- Lead and encourage innovation, community involvement, and primary care growth through an equity lens.
- Participate in ACO related initiatives including population health.
The position carries the opportunity for a Tufts University School of Medicine appointment available commensurate with appointment criteria, candidate qualifications, and commitment to teaching responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program graduate with appropriate Board certification.
- Five years of clinical experience preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading physicians and care teams.
- Active license to practice in Massachusetts, along with current DEA and Massachusetts DPH registrations for the prescription of controlled substances.
- Strong desire to provide the highest quality care to a diverse patient population.
The Clinical FTE is 0.50 - 0.75 with an Administrative FTE of 0.25 FTE.

We are located throughout Cambridge, Somerville and Boston’s metro-north area. We serve an ethnically and socio-economically diverse patient population. CHA is clinically affiliated with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
