Summary
The Nursing Assistant knows and understands the philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures of Nursing Service. Under the supervision of the professional nurse, the Nursing Assistant provides basic nursing care to assigned patients.
Responsibilities
- Understands and demonstrates current OSHA standards.
- Records patient care accurately on the Patient Care Flow Sheet.
- Practices telephone courtesy and communicates appropriate information to patients, visitors, and personnel from other departments.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- AHA or ARC BLS Healthcare Provider
- One year of previous experience as a nursing assistant
- Currently enrolled in a nursing program and have completed two cycles of clinical rotation
- Completion of an approved certified nursing assistant training program
