The Sales Support Administrator plays a key role in supporting the Sales Operations function by providing accurate reporting, maintaining high‑quality CRM data, and ensuring smooth administrative and operational processes across the sales lifecycle. The role works closely with sales, marketing, and business development teams to support lead management, reporting, planning activities, and system improvements, helping to enable effective decision‑making and consistent sales performance.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and analyse sales and revenue data to support Market Leads’ regular meetings and monthly reporting requirements.
  • Maintain the integrity of CRM data through regular audits and data quality checks within SAP Business ByDesign.
  • Provide ongoing support to the sales team in relation to CRM usage, including responding to queries and uploading leads generated from conferences and events.
  • Assist in the implementation and rollout of a new CRM system (planned for Summer 2026), ensuring effective integration into existing sales processes.
  • Manage inbound sales enquiries by triaging leads received via the company website and allocating them to appropriate Market Leads, ensuring timely follow‑up.
  • Support the annual sales and marketing planning cycle by coordinating budgets and plans with key stakeholders and undertaking relevant sales analysis.
  • Provide administrative support to the Business Development function, including organising proposal review meetings and preparing and distributing weekly project sales updates.
  • Undertake additional administrative and operational duties as required to support the effective functioning of the sales and operations teams.

About You

Skills and attributes

  • Demonstrable proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with the ability to analyse data and present information clearly.
  • Experience using CRM systems, preferably HubSpot and/or SAP Business ByDesign, with a strong understanding of data management and pipeline tracking.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Proactive and self‑motivated, with the ability to identify issues and take initiative to resolve them.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to support a wide range of business development and administrative activities as required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including internal teams and external contacts.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a Sales Support, Business Development, Commercial Operations, or Administrative role.
  • Experience working with CRM systems, ideally HubSpot or SAP Business ByDesign, including data entry, reporting, and pipeline management.
  • Proven experience in data analysis and reporting, particularly using Microsoft Excel (e.g. managing datasets, producing reports, and identifying trends).
  • Experience supporting meetings and business processes, including scheduling, preparing materials, and taking minutes/actions.
  • Exposure to sales or marketing environments, with an understanding of lead management and sales processes.
  • Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders and managing competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Education

  • A-levels (or equivalent) required.
  • A degree in a relevant field (e.g. Business, Marketing, Finance, or similar) is desirable but not essential.
  • Additional training or certification in CRM systems, data analysis, or Microsoft Excel would be advantageous.

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Experience supporting CRM implementation or system change projects.
  • Familiarity with sales planning cycles, budgeting, or forecasting processes.
