Our Duty Business Officer role is an important one, at the heart of the high-quality care and service we provide in the Community Support Service - Provider Team. We need a permanent Duty Business Officer to answer calls, update our recording systems, coordinate sessions of care - and more! The successful candidate will be part of a highly motivated team, working closely with the Community Support Service Provider Team, making sure we always deliver the best outcomes for the Children and Young People with Disabilities in Cambridgeshire.

The Candidate will need to be comfortable with a proactive approach to tasks and be proactive in solving problems and engage positively with internal and external colleagues, partners, and providers. We adopt a hybrid and flexible approach to work so, once trained, you will be able to work some of your days from an appropriate office location and home environment. Your office base will be in St Ives.

This is a full-time role covering the core hours of 10:00-14:00 Monday-Friday; we would also welcome applications for a job share of 2 x 18.5 hours.

What will you be doing?

As a Duty Business Officer, you will be at the heart of our operations, working closely with the Community Support Service - Provider Team to drive efficiency, improve processes, and enhance service delivery. Our Business Officers provide essential administrative support working as part of dynamic and customer-focused teams. You will deal with calls from our families as well as internal queries, ensure appropriate scheduling of sessions, manage service user details and support onboarding of new team members and much more!

About you

The successful candidate must have excellent knowledge of Windows & Microsoft packages (including Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Internet) and be able to pick up new IT systems effectively. To be considered for this exciting role, candidates will be excellent communicators both spoken and written. You will work effectively with colleagues as part of a team and have a willingness to learn and progress with a can‐do attitude. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate they are able to work using their own initiative regarding their own workload and prioritisation. The successful candidate will also have proven experience & understanding of working with GDPR regulations and will be enthusiastic about providing high quality customer service.
