The predicted salary is between 28800 - 43200 Β£ per year.
The Regional Adoption Agency require a full time (37 hour) Business Officer (part-time will be considered for the right candidate) to support the Adoption Support Team. This will be for a fixed term period of approximately 6 months, but could be extended if necessary.
Your role will primarily be to administer the Adoption Support Fund (ASF) which entails uploading applications to a portal, dealing with queries, processing of invoices and claiming the funds back from the ASF. You will also be required to minute Adoption Medical Meetings, Child Appreciation Days and other meetings where appropriate. You may also be required to carry out other tasks across other teams within the Regional Adoption Agency and/or Children social care.
You will need good administration skills and the ability to prioritise. This role has specific deadlines that need to be adhered to, so will require attention to detail and accuracy to ensure that these are met. Good communication skills will also be required as you will be liaising with external agencies such as medical professionals, other local authorities and Government bodies. You will be expected to work on your own initiative, keep calm under pressure and work to deadlines. You should have a methodical, concise and flexible approach to tasks and the ability to prioritise workloads effectively. You will need a comprehensive understanding of Microsoft packages (Word and Excel) and be able to use databases.
