Overview
We are recruiting a full-time Business Officer to provide high-quality administrative support to the Children in Care Commissioning and Home Finding Team.
This fixed-term post runs until March 31st 2027.
The Home Finding and Commissioning team contributes to delivering positive outcomes for children and young people by arranging suitable homes for children in care, ensuring homes are good quality and provide value for money.
The role can be undertaken remotely or from the office based at New Shire Hall.
Occasions when the post holder will be required to attend team and service meetings, including team training, should be expected.
This role works closely with the Children in Care Commissioning Team and Home Finding Team, providing all administrative activities to support the service as systems, processes, and provisions are developed to meet the needs of children and young people cared for by Cambridgeshire County Council.
You will provide high-quality administrative support to the team to help ensure the smooth and effective delivery of services.

Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support to the Children in Care Commissioning and Home Finding Team to support service delivery, development of systems, processes, and provisions for children in care.
- Manage correspondence and communications with colleagues and professionals, primarily via email and Microsoft Teams.
- Support data entry, data management, and maintenance across multiple databases and spreadsheets.
- Handle calendar management, arrange meetings, take minutes, and support scheduling within defined processes.
- Contribute to meeting organisation and team activities, including attendance at team and service meetings and training sessions.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to data protection requirements.
- Work both independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Support the development of efficient processes and systems to improve service delivery for children and young people in care.
