As a Senior Project Manager, you will be developing one or more exciting projects such as the Active Travel Projects or new Travel Hubs. The post holder will oversee and manage multimillion pound budgets for transport projects, which will have long lasting benefits for people who live, visit, and work in Greater Cambridge. You will work with a team of experienced project managers from varying backgrounds to deliver key infrastructure projects for the Greater Cambridge area. This is an exciting environment where you will be encouraged to work independently and develop your skills and experience.
We need someone who is firmly focused on delivery to time and budget and who is prepared to tackle the challenges that come with the unique location and context of Greater Cambridge. Navigating a complex governance environment, you will be politically astute, with the ability to build consensus and credibility with civic, academic, and business stakeholders, to deliver high levels of impact at a local, sub‑regional, and national level. Experience in construction will be very beneficial for this role. You will require an excellent understanding and experience of infrastructure delivery within a local authority or central Government context.
