We work extensively across a wide range of sectors, and the HR Business Partner will work closely with our Global HR Team and partner with our Business Unit Leader Teams across the global organisation, developing local people strategies in line with theCompany and People-Team strategy, vision and goals.
A hands-on role providing high quality operational HR expertise to allocated business groups. Working alongside the other members of the People Team the HR Business Partner will provide a proactive and commercially focussed people service across the employee life cycle. The HR Business Partner is expected to contribute to delivering the People strategy by providing both transformational advice and transactional support across all key areas of HR including talent management, retention, reward, organisational design and people development – delivering proactive people initiatives and solutions that deliver measurable value to the company.
Pivotal to the success is the ability to provide strategic input, operational best practice and the ability to act as both influencer and enabler ensuring that the role adds demonstrable value to the company goals of CC.
Specific Responsibilities
This role will bring experience and knowledge of best practice HR to the organisation, supporting CC’s HR and EDI strategy and HR transformation projects. Key responsibilities are:
- Working with Line Managers to embed good people practices; acting as their coach, educator and enabler
- Collaborate with line managers to understand business goals and support development of the people strategy to align with company objectives
- Provide practical HR guidance to managers and employees
- Deliver cost effective, pragmatic solutions for complex or escalated employment relations issues including performance, absence, conduct etc
- Working with the Head of HR Ops, support the compensation and pay review process for designated BUs to ensure fair pay and to ensure process timescales are met
- Ensure promotions, salary reviews and performance management are managed in alignment with our internal processes and benchmarking activities
- Contribute to embedding any HR strategic initiatives across BUs such as, performance management etc;
- Drive the Talent Management/Succession process for the business area ensuring consistent solutions are embedded to attract, retain and develop talent
- Collaborate with the Global People team to shape and support the deployment of high-quality HR initiatives, policies, and processes across the employee life cycle
- Support the head of HR ops with HR policies, processes and template reviews to ensure compliance with legislative requirements, mitigate operational risks and uphold HR best practices
- Analyse and report on people and performance trends and metrics and identify appropriate HR solutions/recommendations for improvement
- Working with the Head of HR Ops to support employee engagement initiatives, including responding to the findings from the employee engagement survey and in partnership with the relevant BU, development of clear HR plans to address any areas of concern for the business area
- Ensure compliance with applicable legislation and to act responsibly on matters of data disclosure both internally and to third parties
- Lead specific HR-related projects that fulfil our overall HR strategy
Experience and Skills:
- Ideally CIPD Level 7 qualified
- Significant work experience at a HR BP/HR Manager level
- Self-starter, with good problem solving and decision-making abilities
- Comfortable with taking ownership of tasks/projects
- Confident in establishing relationships with many varied internal and external stakeholders with whom the role is expected to work daily
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Collaborative Team Player: works collaboratively, across a range of stakeholder groups, to deliver shared objectives. Role models ‘One Team’ mentality and encourages the same in others. Consistently ensures a global view.
- HR Insight: a sound understanding of employment law and best practice to proactively challenge and make recommendations for continuous improvement to enhance the HR offering
- Proactive, resilient & highly adaptable
Nice to have:
- Experience working with highly technical customer group or in a consultancy environment
- Global HR experience (supporting teams in the US & Asia)
- Good understanding of EDI
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills would be beneficial
