Are you comfortable with early stage projects, playing a role in shaping them into viable products? Do you have a passion for delivering state of the art digital services and products? Your role
As a Designer working in our supportive team, you will design world-class solutions for our clients, exciting projects that make a real difference to people and businesses. Think: therapeutic connected devices that treat brain injury patients. Smart heating systems. Control interfaces for networks of autonomous robots. You will work on the entire user-centred design process: from user research to initial sketches to wireframes to interactive prototype to polished UI designs to usability tests. On projects you will get to work alongside other User Experience and Service Designers, Software Engineers, Front-end Developers, Test Engineers and Product Owners. You will work with design leaders and the latest technologies to evolve our user-centred design process and software development approach. Most of all, you’ll have fun!
What you’ll be doing
- Undertake user research to build our understanding of user needs.
- Participate in concept generation and problem-solving workshops.
- Prepare designs at a range of fidelities from sketches to digital prototypes.
- Have competency with Figma, Adobe suite or similar tools.
- Be a champion for user-centred design methodologies.
- Have an interest in the latest technology trends.
- Share what you learn with the group to help us grow together.
What you can bring
- You are (or will soon be) a university graduate, studying for any STEM degree and with good academic results.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with peers and clients to understand their challenges and present thoughtful solutions.
- Experience using prototyping tools such as Figma.
- Confidence in storytelling and idea communication.
- Evidence of having been flexible when working with other disciplines.
