Working for a company at the forefront of deep tech, creating tomorrow’s breakthroughs, this role is pivotal in positioning CC as a world leader to its most important clients and contacts. Please note that this role will require you to work on-site at our Cambridge offices at least 3 days per week.

Role

The global marketing team supports CC’s marketing activities through the UK, Europe, US and Asia. The group is responsible for defining the marketing strategy across the company and then delivering on that strategy through a variety of channels, including events, digital and public relations. Sitting within the Demand Generation team, you will join other marketing & events professionals who, together, design and manage over 50 client-facing exhibitions, virtual events, sponsorships, hosted events and speaking opportunities each year.

You will be a team player, willing to turn your hand to a range of tasks and work with colleagues to deliver outstanding results. You will also be experienced in conducting a range of measurement techniques to understand the impact and value of our event investments.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the Head of Demand Generation, Events Manager and wider marketing team to deliver events that support our overall marketing objectives.
  • Deliver a range of events, starting with an initial business brief, development of approach and project plans, through to seamless execution. This will include a range of third-party exhibition activities – including speaking, sponsoring and exhibiting, plus our own hosted events.
  • Work with the wider marketing team to deliver a complete marketing and event package, including graphic design, database management, administration, PR, social media, digital, and website.
  • Work with the internal key stakeholders on all events, including rehearsals where required.
  • Work with logistics companies to ensure that all exhibition equipment and materials are developed and delivered to venues, that staff attending the event are fully briefed and supported and that all relevant paperwork is completed.
  • Work with external conference organisers, building strong relationships.
  • Attend exhibitions or events occasionally to ensure smooth running and to help with set up and tear down.
  • Manage the packing of event equipment for shipping, either solely or working with an administrator.

  • Creative flair and a strong understanding of what makes a great delegate experience.
  • Highly organised and efficient, able to multi-task and remain calm under pressure.
  • Ability to handle physical activities including pack-ups, setups and tear-downs.
  • Strong communication skills to support event discussions with internal clients around the business and to drive consensus in approach when views differ.

It would be beneficial if you also have the following experience, however, we would still encourage you to apply without:

  • Experience of Healthcare events in the UK and US.
  • Hubspot, Asana, Microsoft 365, LinkedIn, other social platforms.
