As a Technology Strategy Analyst/Project Manager within our Advisory team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high‑quality client engagements and contributing to the analytical work that underpins them.
This hybrid role combines hands‑on analysis with project leadership, overseeing advisory projects end‑to‑end while personally generating insights that drive client value.
The focus is on Defence and Security, though you may also work on projects in other sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage advisory projects end‑to‑end, ensuring teams stay on track and deliver on time and within budget.
- Coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams to guarantee cohesive and efficient execution.
- Proactively identify risks, manage scope, and keep stakeholders informed of progress.
- Conduct analysis of markets, data, technologies, and business models to help clients navigate complexity, seize opportunities, and anticipate threats.

Qualifications and Skills
- Strong technical background – Master’s or Ph D in physical sciences, applied mathematics, data science, engineering, or related disciplines.
- 2–5 years’ experience working in Defence or Security within a government organisation, consultancy, private sector technology startup, or multinational.
- Experience delivering projects with significant science, technology or R&D content.
- +2 years of project management or leadership experience, with demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a cross‑disciplinary team and influence stakeholders.
- Managing stakeholder expectations, understanding programme needs, and ideally experience of government tendering processes.
- Strong understanding of technology commercialisation pathways, including investment considerations of UK public sector and innovation pathways for defence.
- Structured analytical and creative thinking – ability to turn complex technical concepts into actionable strategies.
- Curiosity and adaptability – passion for learning, excellent problem‑solving and critical‑thinking skills.
- Communication skills – confident engagement with technical and non‑technical stakeholders, running meetings, and crafting compelling narratives.
