We are seeking a proactive and organised Economy and Climate Support Officer to join our Inclusive Economy and Climate team. This is a vital role designed to champion and support the delivery of net-zero goals alongside sustainable and inclusive economic development within Cambridge. Working within the Economy and Place group, you will provide essential project co-ordination and administrative support for the team. You will play a key part in supporting policy and partnership development, as well as managing engagement and communications with both internal and external stakeholders.
In this role you will:
- Support research and policy development through evidence gathering, analysis, and the drafting of reports and briefings.
- Manage team data systems, ensuring high accuracy in records, spreadsheets, and CRM systems to inform strategic decision-making.
- Provide project co-ordination for climate change and inclusive economic development workstreams.
- Act as the initial point of contact for enquiries, ensuring requests are logged, allocated, and resolved within corporate standards.
- Support managers with budget management, including raising purchase orders and reconciling monthly procurement card purchases.
- Collaborate with the Communications team to create and publish engaging content across social media, websites, and e-newsletters.
- Assist in the organisation and delivery of stakeholder events, consultations, and partnership meetings.
About You

Salary: £32,597- £36,363 per annum (City Pay Band 4), pro rata for part time.
Location: Mandela House, Cambridge / Agile Hybrid Working. This is flexible – primarily working in Cambridge on site, or at one of our offices, or working from home. You will be able to balance your work location accordingly.
