We are seeking a reliable person to perform grounds maintenance tasks such as planting, pruning and strimming, including handling hazardous waste like faeces, needles, and deceased animals. The applicant will need to be physically fit and be able to use a variety of equipment and be willing to work in all weathers.

The role also involves street cleaning duties, including sweeping, litter bin emptying, litter collection and operating cleaning machinery to maintain clean public areas. Additional duties include graffiti and vandalism removal, seasonal work like gritting, and reporting public space defects using mobile devices. You must interact politely with the public, offering help and information as needed while delivering a courteous and professional service. The candidate must have a Full UK Driving Licence.

Hours: This is a full-time role, for 37 hours per week.

Working Pattern: Monday – Thursday 07.00 – 15.30, Friday 07.00 – 13.15.

Contract: Permanent.

Salary: £29,540 - £32,061 per annum (City Pay Band 3) pro rata for part time.

Location: Cowley Road Depot.
