We’re looking for Litigation Lawyers to join our collaborative team and play a key role at the centre of high-impact public sector work, providing legal advice that directly supports our communities. We have opportunities at both Lawyer and Senior Lawyer level, and we’re open to a range of experience.

If you have strong litigation skills and are ready to develop your career in a supportive, forward-thinking team, we’d like to hear from you. You’ll provide clear, practical legal advice to officers and members across the partnership, and your work will include:

  • Advising on a wide range of litigation matters across the County Court, High Court and Tribunals
  • Managing your own caseload, including preparing legal documentation and representing the councils at hearings
  • Supporting key service areas including housing, licensing and regulatory matters
  • Advising on complex legal issues, including local government powers and duties

At Senior Lawyer level, you will also lead on more complex or high-profile matters, work closely with senior stakeholders and contribute to mentoring and developing colleagues. As a qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEX Fellow with litigation experience, you’ll enjoy providing practical, solution-focused legal advice and working collaboratively across organisations. Hours: We currently have two vacancies available, both full-time hours at 37 per week. However, if you believe you have the skills and experience to join us and would like to discuss different working patterns, please do get in touch.

Contract: Permanent

Salary: The range for salary is dependent on experience and sits either in our City Pay Band 6 £41,771 - £47,181 per annum or our City Pay Band 8 £52,413 - £56,782 per annum, pro rata for part time.

Location: This is flexible with our office bases between Cambourne, Cambridge and Huntingdon as service need dictates but also you can balance this with working from home.
