Job Description

We’re looking for a proactive and customer‑focused Damp and Mould Co‑ordinator on an 18‑month fixed‑term contract to join our Homes and Properties team.

This is a critical role where you will take ownership of damp, condensation and mould cases from initial report through to resolution.

You will ensure homes are safe, compliant, and meet the requirements of Awaab’s Law, while delivering a high‑quality service to tenants and leaseholders.

  • What You’ll Be Doing
  • Managing damp, condensation and mould (DCM) cases end‑to‑end, ensuring timely resolution
  • Handling the DCM inbox and prioritising inspections and follow‑on works
  • Liaising with tenants, contractors, and internal teams to coordinate repairs and updates
  • Monitoring contractor performance, chasing works, and escalating issues where needed
  • Acting as a key point of contact for tenants throughout repairs, including property visits where required
  • Supporting temporary relocations where necessary
  • Managing customer enquiries and preventing escalation to complaints
  • Supporting complaints, disrepair cases and ombudsman enquiries
  • Producing reports, analysing trends, and contributing to service improvements
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with policies and KPIs
  • What We’re Looking For
  • Experience working in a similar role within social housing (ideally 2+ years)
  • Strong understanding of housing regulations and Awaab’s Law
  • Experience working in a customer‑focused role
  • Confidence using IT systems and managing data
  • Experience working to deadlines and handling urgent situations

This is a full‑time role, for 37 hours per week.

£32,597 – £36,363 per annum (City Pay Band 4), pro rata for part time.

Location

This is flexible – working in Cambridge on site or at one of our offices or working from home.

You will be able to balance your work location accordingly.

Occasional site visits required.
