Cambridge City, Huntingdonshire and South Cambridgeshire District Councils operate a Shared Service for Building Control, with a dedicated Operations team to support the business needs of the service.
As a Building Control Operations Officer, you will play a key part in helping to design lean business processes and workflow to meet performance targets using information systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Registering, validating and interpreting plans to determine the appropriate fees and ensure standard operating procedures are followed and internal targets achieved.
- Handling customer enquiries by email and phone, including taking payments and monitoring building control mailboxes.
- Providing advice and guidance.
- Maintaining records and producing and issuing Completion Certificates.
To be successful in this role you will be well organised and methodical with great attention to detail. With excellent communication skills, both written and oral you will have experience of meeting deadlines and working under pressure. We will look to you to work flexibly within a team that embraces change, maintains high performance and strives for continuous improvements.
Details:- Hours: This is a full-time role, for 37 hours per week.
- Working Pattern: Monday – Friday
- Contract: Permanent
- Salary: £32,597 – £36,363 per annum (City Pay Band 4)
- Location: Tri-location. This is flexible – working in Cambridge, Huntingdon or Cambourne or at one of our offices or working from home.
