We have a vacancy for an Assessment and Verification Officer to support our busy team manage applications to join the social housing register in Cambridge. The role will focus on the assessment and verification of housing register applications from those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. As well as assessing applications, the post holder will also visit applicants identified as needing assistance to complete their application and verify their circumstances.

Previous experience is not required as training will be provided. We are looking for someone who:

  • Is motivated
  • Can manage their own time
  • Works well both independently and as part of a team
  • Has efficient administrative skills
  • Is able to confidently communicate with vulnerable clients and motivate engagement

Hours: This is a full-time role, for 37 hours per week.

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday

Contract: Fixed Term for 12 months

Salary: £28,624 to £31,097 per annum (City Pay Band 3)

Location: Cambridge with some flexibility to work from home.
