Job Description Summary:
The secondary market is a rapidly growing segment of the global private investment universe and has become a widely-used tool by both limited partners and general partners for portfolio management. The CA Secondaries Team is hiring an Investment Analyst/Associate to join this growing practice area within Cambridge Associates. The team manages all aspects of the investment process for fund secondary, GP-led, and direct secondary transactions on behalf of Cambridge Associates’ client base. The Secondaries Team evaluates opportunities on a global basis and across all asset classes within the private investment spectrum, including private equity buyouts, growth equity, venture capital, private credit, and private real assets (real estate, infrastructure, etc.).
As a global and cross-functional team, members of the Secondaries Team work closely with the broader Private Investment Research Team to source, evaluate, execute, and monitor secondary investment opportunities. - Completing written research and analysis utilized for investment decision making by Cambridge’s clients and the CA Secondaries Investment Committee. This includes concise commentaries summarizing opportunities as well in-depth due diligence reports.
Additionally, the Investment Analyst/Associate will serve as a resource to CA colleagues seeking information on all aspects related to secondary opportunities, and will collaborate with senior professionals to support the team’s engagement with existing and prospective clients. The Analyst/Associate will also contribute to projects and analyses outside of transactions to enable the knowledge and success of the Secondaries Team.
