Job Description Summary

The Credit Investment Group (CIG) provides clients with investment management services across the full spectrum of public and private fixed income and credit-related investment strategies on a global basis. This spans public, hedge fund, and private fund formats and includes asset classes such as investment-grade, leveraged loan and high-yield bond funds; credit and distressed hedge funds; and alternative credit strategies such as insurance linked securities, litigation finance, and life settlements.

Job Description

The Analyst role is in the C|A Credit Research group working on Fixed Income and Alternative Credit investments including Liquid Credit, Insurance Linked Securities, Litigation Finance, and Life Settlements. Responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate and participate in meetings with asset managers.
  • Participate in the manager assessment process, including writing summaries/comments of each meeting for distribution within the firm.
  • Work closely alongside Investment Directors helping them manage current ideas and look for new opportunities.
  • Complete in-depth written due diligence reports.
  • Attendance at manager meetings/calls, due diligence planning, writing meeting notes, evaluation of the team, strategy, and performance, analysis of relevant positives and issues, asking questions of managers, participating in all meetings.
  • Serve as a resource to colleagues seeking current information on covered asset classes, including data and analysis, comparison to other managers, and the opinion of the research team.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of credit analysts to provide support across credit sub-asset classes.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree (any major) with a strong record of achievement.
  • Some relevant financial services work and/or internship experience preferred.
  • Interest in investing and financial markets; familiarity with financial basics a plus.
  • Demonstrated facility for clear and organized writing, especially business writing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to think analytically and comprehensively.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint Skills.
  • Comfortable working as part of a team, but also willing to take initiative as appropriate.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Base salary range for this role:

Pay Range Minimum: 45200
Pay Range Maximum: 54600

In addition to the listed salary range, this position is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus and a comprehensive, competitive benefits package. Actual placement within the stated salary range will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as internal equity.
