The Configuration Manager will take ownership of the release and change control of technical data within the company’s PLM system, ensuring high standards of quality and accuracy throughout all processes. This hands-on Configuration Manager role requires a pragmatic and detail-focused individual with strong communication skills and the ability to influence and drive process improvements. They must be sensitive to the needs of the business by driving quality and efficiency in the world of configuration and change management.
The following are the key areas of focus for the work to be carried out:
- Provide training to project/product team members in CM related matters
- Participate in review of project and product-related documents
- Ensure compliance of the project/product team members
- Assist in preparation of PBS at system and subsystem levels in liaison with systems engineers
- Prepare the change for the CRB
- Ensure that the PCA, FCA and FAI is executed on the project/product
Requirements:
- Ability to work adaptably and leave preconceptions of established businesses behind
- Deep understanding of CM Industry Standards and a variety of approaches to implementation
- Ideally experience of working in aerospace or defence industry
- Ideally, experience with Teamcenter PLM
- Experience in fast paced R
