We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance & Improvement Engineer to build, maintain, and continuously improve our ISO 9001 / EN 9100 compliant management system. This role is central to ensuring product compliance, driving quality culture, and supporting rapid scale in a fast‑moving defence technology environment. The successful candidate will work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to embed robust quality practices while retaining the agility required in a high‑growth organisation.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and improve an ISO 9001 / EN 9100 certifiable Quality Management System
- Plan and conduct internal audits, ensuring timely corrective action and closure of findings
- Support Engineering and Manufacturing with quality planning, controls, and process development
- Manage internal quality issues and customer complaints, including containment and root cause analysis
- Define quality metrics and drive continuous improvement initiatives across the business
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Quality Assurance / Continuous Improvement role in aerospace, defence, automotive, or similar regulated manufacturing environments
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS/EN 9100 quality management systems
- Experience operating within regulated frameworks such as EASA Part 21 or equivalent
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation
- Experience working cross‑functionally in engineering or production‑led organisations
Preferred Qualifications / Experience
- Experience with quality and improvement tools such as FMEA, SPC, RCCA, Six Sigma, or Lean methods
- Experience working in fast‑paced R&D, startup, or scale‑up manufacturing environments
